What Happened To February??

I knew I needed to update but didn't realize I missed an entire month! This post will be picture heavy and text light because let's be honest, pictures are way better. So here we go....!

This is essentially where we left off in January with the first floor framed and one upper wall getting done. Oh how things have change.

Nate standing on the roof just because...😬

Putting house wrap on in the wind, always easy..

Well pump is installed, we have our own water!!

We went with full, normal stairs because 1) we're going to be living in this a while and climbing a ladder or funky stairs would get old fast. 2) Franklin can't climb a ladder nor would funky steps be easy either. 3) Because they are normal steps we were able to create a small pantry on the left (more food storage, score!) the middle will have cabinets on the bottom and a couple open shelves on top and then on the right we're going to hide the litter boxes in there.

Plumbing! Nates favorite, except not.

Half wall on the loft, more privacy and the cats cant fall off as they wrestle around

^^ Perfect time to get rid of someone, that hole is DEEP! 😆

Finally, septic!! I was worried it wouldn't get installed anytime soon especially with the rain we had in February but then our septic man called and showed up Friday to start the install! He worked yesterday and today and should finish up Monday if the inspector comes that day.

Nate is currently working on wiring the house and is almost finished. We have to get that inspected (1 of only 2 permit/inspection requirements needed in our area; electric and septic) and then we can start putting in insulation, drywall etc etc. We aren't going to worry about siding, metal roof or the porch until the inside is completed and ready to move in because it's not necessary and can be done after.

Let me also say, Nate is an amazing beast! He got this whole house up including siding (*edit* sheathing, Nate made me correct that, "whatever") wrap, windows (windows with his cousins help) on his own without scaffolding. It's been slow and time consuming for him but he did it!

Finally, if you need to see something cute today I present Otis and Milo
